Research Infrastructures towards 2020

"Research Infrastructure" has been an evolving concept across the EU and has been understood and translated to national realities mainly through medium to long term strategies that can be found in National Roadmaps. Understanding how this concept has evolved so far and how it has and will be translated into practice by EU and national policies is a key issue and will underpin the future landscape of Research Infrastructures in Europe. The path taken in a number of countries across Europe to produce their National Roadmaps, the methodologies and how they face the future programming period (2014-2020) will be presented. In this context, inter-linkages with Smart Specialization strategies and sub-national regions across Europe are some of the crucial issues put forward. Understanding the multitude of challenges from the perspective of a single-sited or distributed research infrastructure, how they look at themselves as service providers to the research and innovation community will aim at a fruitful exchange of best practices and debate, as well as contribute to the demanding role ahead for national contact points, experts, delegates and policy makers dealing with research infrastructures towards 2020.

Target Audience
Research Infrastructure managers; National Contact Points and RI FP7 Programme Committee Members; ESFRI Delegates; European Commission officers for Research Infrastructures and Structural Funds policy; National and Regional policy-makers.

Registration is mandatory by Email

Location:

Centro Científico e Cultural de Macau / Scientific and Cultural Centre of Macau.

Agenda

8:45 Registration
9:15 Welcoming
9.30.
