Enterprise Europe Network - Hellas coordinator PRAXI/HELP-FORWARD Network with the collaboration of HELEXPO SA, provide an opportunity for transnational technology, business and research partnerships in the emerging fields of Nanotechnologies & Organic Electronics by organising a Brokerage Event (B2B) on the 5th of July 2011.

The Brokerage Event will be organised in the framework of NANOTEXNOLOGY 2012, the first specialized exhibition on Nanotechnologies & Organic Electronics taking place in Greece, the 8th International Conference on Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies - NN12 and the 4th International Symposium on Flexible Organic Electronics - ISFOE12.

The aim of the Brokerage Event is to encourage meetings between technology developers and technology users in order to foster technical cooperation in the fields of Nanotechnologies & Organic Electronics.

Target groups

Scientists and entrepreneurs, developers, engineers and practitioners, as well as companies - end users of Nanotechnologies & Organic Electronics will be able to review recent developments, identify outstanding needs and solutions for their business.

This event aims to provide a unique opportunity for the participating organisations to:

The Brokerage process

Interested parties are invited to register and submit their technology (offer and request), business and research cooperation profiles, which will be incorporated in the Brokerage Event e-catalogue. The e-catalogue will be distributed to all participant at least a month prior to the event. The expressions of interest will be matched to organise direct bilateral meetings during the event. The meetings' schedule will be available to the participants prior to the event.

Specifically designed to allow European actors to meet and discuss during pre-arranged B2B meetings, the brokerage event has been organized since 1998 and aims at fostering technical cooperation. Targeted mostly at companies, technical institutions and research laboratories willing to promote their innovations (products, know-how or services) or TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO DEVELOP NEW PRODUCTS, INTEGRATE NEW FUNTIONALITIES, IMPROVE EXISTING TECHNOLOGY, the event is the place to meet potential partners in the heart of an industrial and highly specialized trade fair. It's an excellent link between exhibitors and visitors.

Mixing different actors and various kind of companies (high-tech or traditional industry, SMEs, start-ups or large companies) has a real impact on collaborative projects.

GrapHEL - A Multidisciplinary and Intersectorial European Conference/Workshop on Synthesis, Characterization and Technological Exploitation of Graphene.

Graphene: New Era and Future Technologies

In the latest years graphene based research has witnessed a tremendous explosion. This two dimensional "dream" material has come into the main spotlight of fundamental and applied research in diverse nano-science fields, but surprisingly rapidly, it has also attracted the interest of major stakeholders in the private sector (especially industries in the ICT sector). The technological exploitation of graphene can be considered to be based on four fundamental interconnected wide topics: growth and synthesis methods, nano-structuring and tailoring of graphene properties, structural and physical characterization, and device design and applications.

The aim of the conference/workshop is to bring together scientists and engineers working on different technological uses of graphene in a multidisciplinary and multisectorial (academia/industry) environment. Participants will be offered the chance to meet world class leading scientists in the field. The scope of the conference/workshop is to informally network all the participants to enhance their potential research on graphene. Participation of early stage researchers, PhD students andÃ‚ post-docs is strongly encouraged.

International Brokerage Event with F2F Meetings

On 24 May 2012 the international Brokerage Event meet@nano will take place in Lausanne, back to back with the Swiss NanoConvention, in the frame of Lausannetec fair. Representatives of research institutes and companies from all over Europe and beyond will have the opportunity to learn about R&D projects in the field of nanotechnologies, material sciences industrial production and public privat partnership as well as for technological cooperation. Visits to companies on 25 May allow an insight view of state of the art technologies.

The meet@nano event is organised by Euresearch and TeAm, the international network of NCPs in Lausanne in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network in Switzerland to provide an international platform for research institutes and companies in the following fields: Nanotechnologies(energy harvesting, chemistry, health, sustainable development, safety), Materials ( biomaterials, health, electronics, mining) Industrial Production (resource efficiency, supply chain management, sustainable agriculture). A special focus is on the Public Private Partnership (PPPs) with the initiatives: Factories of the Future (FoF), Energy efficient Buildings (EeB) and Green Cars (GC).

Briefing with the Commission on NMP and PPP on 24 May morning

Prior to the Face to Face meetings experts from the European Commission will introduce targets of the NMP and PPP Calls 2013 and give an outlook on the next framework program Horizon 2020. Successful coordinators and partners of FP7 projects will share their experiences, together with evaluators, in order to facilitate the setup of FP7 project consortia. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and develop new project ideas at international level and to initiate cross-border contacts.

Face to Face Meetings on 24 May afternoon

The aim of the pre-arranged F2F Meetings is to facilitate R&D cooperation, accelerating innovation and initiating research projects by meeting potential co-operation partners in face-to-face meetings. Participants register with a co-operation profile with information on their technologies, products and services for the online catalogue. This enables participants to identify potential co-operation partners with complementary know-how before the event. The F2F meetings are then arranged for the participants by the organisers and take place during meet@nano. Networking becomes efficient and effective. All registered participants are provided free access to Lausannetec and reduced fee for the Swiss NanoConvention.

On Friday morning meet@nano participants will have the opportunity to participate in two visits of facilities and companies active in the fields of nanotechnologies and materials. Fee CHF 50 (40 €)

Swiss NanoConvention 2012

The Swiss NanoConvention 2012 will bring together Swiss and international leaders from science and industry in the field of «nano», key figures in innovation and technology, entrepreneurs, investors, administrators and politicians. The Swiss NanoConvention 2012 will be a platform for connecting people, networking, debating and exchanging ideas – or even generating new ones. Key players will be able to gather the best available information on the potential, but also on the risks of one of the key emerging technologies of the 21st century, and its opportunities for innovative technologies, products and services.

In short: The Swiss NanoConvention is the prime showcase for nanotechnology in Switzerland, jointly organized by the main participants in the Swiss nano scene. It is the venue for meeting the great minds in nanoscience and -technology.

3rd International Samsonov Conference

The Frantsevych Institute for Problems of Materials Scienceof NASU and the National Technical University “KPI” arrange regular (every two years) conferences on the general topic of materials science of refractory compounds. The previous conferencewas held in 2008 and was organized around the 90th birthday celebration of G. V.Samsonov, an outstanding scientist associated with the materials science of advanced composite materials and technologies. Refractory materials operate under extreme conditions such as high temperatures and pressures, aggressive chemical and radiation media. This class of materials is widely used in microelectronics and coating technologies.

The Conferencewill be held at the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI”.

The conference languages are English (preferable) and Russian.

Following the success of the first Industrial Technologies conference in Brussels in 2010, the next event in this series takes place in Aarhus in June 2012.

The event integrates Nanotechnology, Materials and Production to show how innovative industrial technologies can boost competitiveness and growth by 2020.
