In March 2010 the first European Conference on Nanofilm will be held in Liège - Belgium. The conference will provide a global vision of applied European Research on Nanofilms. With the organization of the ECNF the conference wants to provide an exchange platform to experts integrating nanotechnologies into surface properties.
From the synthesis of nanoparticles up to the mass production of nanocoatings, this multisession symposium aims to promote exchanges and linkage between scientific and industrials players. Today more than ever, this collaboration is fundamental to answer current and future technological needs of the society.
The use of nanofilms increases lifetime of mechanical parts and reduces lubricants usage. Integrated in solar panels, nanofilms produce green energy. Medical implants are now safer and last longer thanks to nanocoatings. These are just some illustrations out of many, along with catalysis, sensors, and more.
The ECNF will organize technical talks, poster sessions, as well as thematic round tables, which will provide numerous networking opportunities.
Prior to the conference, tutorial sessions will be organized for young researchers and new professionals.
